M.anifest speaks after receiving the award. (Twitter.com/M.anifest) Ghanaian rapper, M.anifest has won a top international music award in Cannes, France.

The 'Nowhere Cool' hitmaker won the International Midem "Coup de Coeur 2017" award at a ceremony held at the the Majestic Hotel in the French resort town.

Organisers of the awards said: "The International Midem "Coup de Coeur 2017" [Favourite] Award will be presented to the winner of the Midem Artist Accelerator, the booster programme for upcoming talent worldwide. This year's winner is M.anifest, a lyricist, rapper and songwriter from Ghana, whose music has been described as having "the flavour of Kanye West".
